On Nov 22, 2024 we received an RFQ from
Sisi Chen alias Flora, Overseas Purchaser from ZZONLINE TECHNOLOGY CO. LTD in China
for CL10B104KB8NNNC      800pcs

What can you make wrong with such an RFQ? A lot!
1. We are a webshop seller. All our parts are ready to order in our webshop, with price, shipping cost, manufacturer, DC where available, packaging and so on. Sending RFQs is a waste of time as we don't quote. On Netcomponents where the parts are listed, there is  the price listed  and a direct link to this item's webpage in our webshop.
Advice: Learn how to use Netcomponents!

2. Even that we told this customer at the last RFQ that they should use the functionality of Netcomponents, they continue sending unnecessary RFQs.
Advice: Don't ignore replies from suppliers!

3. They are inquiring 800 pcs whereas our stock is only 100 pcs. Although large distributors like Future or Avnet hold stock of around 100 million (!) pieces, which corresponds to tenthousands of 4k-reels, they need to contact a seller who holds only a small fraction of what they need. A 100nF 0603 cap doesn't have to be sourced from a different continent (although brokers might dream of a shortage when 100nF 0603 caps have to be sourced from the broker market)
Advice: Buy from those who have enough stock!

4. The value of the 100 pieces that we hold is 3 EUR (less than 4 USD). Even though we have a very low MOV of 15 EUR, it is far below our minimum order value and the webshop will not accept an order unless you add further items.
Advice: Check the value of your RFQ against your supplier's MOV!

On Jan 11, 2023 we received an RFQ from
Devi from THREE-E COMPONENTS PVT LTD 3E in India
for VLF302510MT-1R5N - TDK - 5pcs

The value of the 5 pieces is 1.50 EUR (less than 2 USD). Even though we have a very low MOV of 15 EUR, it is far below our minimum order value and the webshop will not accept an order unless you add further items.
